About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team at Arch and support their mission. As an early software engineer at Arch, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering many new products - from Zero to One. Your technical expertise will inform and shape the future of their technology stack and the processes used to support it. As Arch continues to scale their company, there will be opportunities to manage and lead others.

About the product
Arch offers world-class financial products for cryptocurrency holders through a single platform, starting with the most flexible and seamless crypto-backed loan product on the market.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Scope out and build new products in our suite of financial services.
• Designing software system architecture and implement scalable (web) services, applications, and APIs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Typescript and good understanding of the modern JS/TS development toolchain.
• Experience creating continuous integration and release workflows.
• Experience building robust software systems (reusability, logging, monitoring, testing).
• Cloud know-how (we use AWS for a chunk of our stack).
• Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously.
• 5+ years of experience writing high-quality production code at a venture-backed startup or top technology company.

Bonus points

• Experience in fintech.
• Building auditable systems as we will go through security and financial audits in the future such as SOC II and more.
• Familiarity with basic blockchain functionality (token vs native), smart contracts (at least understand how they work at a high level).
